Magazine Project- Genre Research

Allure Magazine is a fashion and beauty magazine. The magazine was founded in 1991 and distributes 1,165, 392 units per year. This editorial magazine focuses in on new trends in the fashion world. As well as the brand new beauty products hitting the market that month. On the cover of Allure, there is usually a head shot of a famous model, or a female celebrity. Some of the women that have had a graced past covers are Blake Lively, Kate Moss, Lady Gaga, and many more! The photo can vary between a natural picture, with light makeup, and bright lighting. Or a very editorial picture. The model usually wears an extravagant outfit, that is designer, and came fresh off the runway. Or, it will include a heavy makeup look, that is the opposite or natural. These look usually include a bold eye shadow look, or a colorful lipstick shade.
